AE Signage is a leading signage manufacturing company based in Germiston, Johannesburg, South Africa. The company has grown steadily over its proud 40 year history, and today is a leader in the signage industry servicing the petrochemical and corporate signage markets specialising in the concept design and planning, manufacture, project management, installation and after sales servicing of customised retail, corporate, wayfinding, shopping centre and other general branding signage. Operations began in 1976 in a warehouse measuring less than 800m², and today AE Signage has production facilities measuring over 10,000m². 

Founded in 1976 the company initially produced Point of Purchase display items along with their branding and signage elements. As the company grew and expanded into the retail market, the signage side of the business continued to grow, until a point in the early 1980’s when the company’s focus shifted exclusively to signage manufacture.

The company was able to quickly establish good working relationships with several of South Africa’s leading retailers through consistently delivering a quality product on time.

A lot of development and innovation was done to better reflect the client’s Corporate Identities in an aesthetic, durable and cost effective manner. Many of these working partnerships still continue today. AE Signage has enjoyed steady growth year on year, and places a lot of value in one of its most important assets – its people. The company employs over 100 people, and recognizes and rewards employees for long service. There are several people who have already achieved 20 years service with the company.

The company continues to look towards the future and in addition to in-house training programs, the company also provides a high school and tertiary education program where employee’s children can receive financial assistance towards their studies.
